CAP is an unneutered hunting dog mix male dog, born around 2022. He came to us as a found dog, so unfortunately, nothing is known about his background. Currently, he weighs 20 kg with a shoulder height of around 50 cm. CAP is an active, sporting dog with a hunting motivation and a pronounced need for movement. He requires clear, consistent leadership as well as people with dog experience who can provide him with security and structure. Initially, CAP shows skepticism and observation towards strangers. He reliably reports or barks at unfamiliar sounds, people, or new situations. However, once he has developed trust, he becomes very cuddly, clingy, and sometimes distanceless with his trusted people—closeness is then completely natural for him. As CAP has likely not been familiar with much, he needs a home that is willing to work patiently with him and explain the world to him step by step. For families with children, he is not ideal; a quiet household without children would be ideal for him. We wish for CAP to have dog-experienced people who enjoy movement and can offer him both physical and mental stimulation.
