Normans Zustand nach der Operation an seinen missgebildeten Zähnen und Kiefer scheint gut verheilt zu haben, also stelle ich ihn vorläufig erneut zur Umvermittlung bereit, aber er benötigt einen sehr speziellen Zuhause, da er ein sehr „besonderer“ Junge ist ********************************************************************** Die meisten dieser ursprünglichen Punkte gelten immer noch für ihn…er ist nicht mehr so „beißig“ wie früher, was vielleicht auf Schmerzen in seinem Kiefer zurückzuführen war BUT er ist wie ein Kind mit ADHS und benötigt jemanden, der das Saluki- Temperament versteht. Norman kam uns als Abgabegewährungsantrag im Alter von 11 Wochen, weil das sehr junge Kind im Haushalt ihn nicht in Ruhe ließ und der Welpen begann, mit seinen SEHR scharfen Zähnen zu beißen. Er ist KEIN niedlicher Welpe, er ist im Moment ein Landhai und zeigt bereits Anzeichen des Saluki-„Attitüde“, also den „was bringt mir das?“-Denkweise. Seine Rasse ist Saluki x Greyhound x Saluki, also ist er ein Longdog und nicht ein Lurcher mit allen Hunde-Rassen. Es gibt kein Border Collie oder etwas anderes, um ihn „gehorchend“ und darum bemüht zu machen. Allerdings ist er für Menschen, die mit diesem Typ von Rasse vertraut sind, ein völlig typischer Saluki-Welp. Er rennt herum wie ein Hoolie, springt auf und ab Möbel und greift alles, was er in seinem Mund bekommt unterwegs – manchmal Ihr Bein, manchmal den Fernbedienung, Kissen, oft viele Spielzeug. Er wird bei uns kassiert, da die anderen Hunde ihn töten würden, und er hat es sehr gut akzeptiert. Er lässt mich wissen, wenn er eine Toilettenpause braucht und bislang war er vollständig sauber im Haus. Er ist SEHR laut und „antwortet zurück“, wenn Sie ihm sagen, leise zu sein. Er ist dunkel Sable mit weißem Pfad. Er hat das typische Saluki-„römische Gesicht“ bei Betrachtung von der Seite. Er hatte seine Impfungen, ist mikrochipt und entwurmt worden. Er ist daran gewöhnt, Halsband und Leine zu tragen und geht jetzt ordentliche (kurze) Spaziergänge. ER IST NOCH NIEMALS AUF LEINE IN ÖFFENTLICHEN PLÄTZEN GEGANGEN. Er hat unsere Katze kennengelernt und ist vollkommen verwirrt von ihr – keine Bosheit, sondern „Kann ich auch spielen?“ Aber ich denke, er würde wahrscheinlich jeden verfolgen, den er „los“ trifft.

Norman's op on his malformed teeth and jaw seems to have healed up OK, so I'm tentatively putting him up for rehoming again, but he will need quite a special home as he's a very "special" boy ********************************************************************** Most of these original points still apply to him...he's not as "nippy" as he was, which may have been due to discomfort in his jaw BUT he is like a child with ADHD and needs someone who understands Saluki temperament. Norman came to us as an owner surrender at 11 weeks old because the very young child in the home wouldn't leave him alone and the pup was starting to nip with his VERY sharp teeth. He is NOT a cute puppy, he is a Land Shark at the moment and is already showing signs of Saluki "attitude" ie the " what's in it for me?" frame of mind. His breeding is Saluki x Greyhound X Saluki, so he is a Longdog rather than a Lurcher with all hound breeding. There's no Border Collie or anything to make him "biddable" and anxious to please However, for people who are used to this type of breeding, he's a completely typical Saluki x pup He races around like a hoolie, jumping on and off the furniture and grabbing whatever he can in his mouth en route - sometimes your leg, sometimes the tv remote, cushions, often lots of toys. He is being crated with us as the other dogs would kill him, and he's taken to it very well. He lets me know when he needs a toilet break and, so far, has been completely clean in the house. He is VERY Yappy and "answers back" when you tell him to be quiet He's a dark sable colour with white points. He has the typical Saluki "Roman nose" when seen in profile. He had his vaccinations, he is microchipped and has been wormed. He is used to wearing a harness and lead,and goes on proper (short) walks now HE HAS NOT BEEN OFF LEAD OUT IN PUBLIC PLACES. He's met our cat and is thoroughly confused by her - no malice, just " can I play with that too?" But I think he'd probably chase any he met "loose" in the garden etc. I am going to say he cannot be rehomed with young children because of the nipping and the speed of his fly pasts (trying to grab him is like trying to get hold of an eel) and he would probably benefit from one or two steady older dogs to show him the ropes and keep him grounded. He needs a SECURE garden as he will probably just keep running if he escapes from anywhere! He cannot be rehomed to anyone who is out at work all day...he IS house trained as he's had to be crated post op, but he gets bored very easily and can be very noisy if you don't immediately see what he wants. He's also started ripping up his soft beds and any stuffed toys soon become clouds . Because of the work done on his jaw, insurance could be difficult as some places may say a straight No, some might say OK but not his teeth...who knows...it will need to be looked at carefully.
