Tobias ist ein 11-jähriger Labrador, der gerne trainiert und spielt. Er ist artig mit Hunde- und Katzentraining und kann mehrere Stunden alleine gelassen werden. Obwohl er Spaziergänge mit ruhigen, kleineren Hunden genießt, hat er Empfindlichkeiten gegenüber Menschen und Hunden und benötigt eine ruhige, kinderfreie Wohnung. Er muss das einzige Haustier sein und braucht mehrere Vorabgängerbesuche, um Vertrauen zu gewinnen. Trotz altersbedingter Steifheit, die Schmerzmedikamente erfordert, bleibt er aktiv und spielend. Er benötigt Adoptanten, die sich verpflichtet fühlen, weiteres Training zu gewährleisten und ruhige Erkundungsmöglichkeiten bereitzuhalten.

Tobias is 11 years old and can’t wait to find his perfect match. If you are interested in training (he knows loads already and we’ll show you the ropes!) and have lots of time to play fetch then it could be you! Tobias will enjoy a short fuss from people he has built a strong bond with. He has been doing really well with his dog mixes and can share walks with calm, smaller dogs. Tobias prefers quieter walking spots with lots of exploring to do, but he is happy to travel in the car so can go further afield for these opportunities. He's also ok to be left home alone for several hours and is fully housetrained. Tobias is a sensitive and enthusiastic boy who is looking for a home that will keep up his training and take him out for lots of sniffs. He does have his worries around both people and dogs so is looking for a quiet, adult-only home with no visiting children to really enjoy his senior years, and will also need to be the only pet in the home. Tobias will need a safe space within the home that he can retreat to for when visitors pop by. He takes time to build a relationship with people so will need any adopters to visit the centre several times before going home with them. Tobias is on pain medication to help with some age-related stiffness in his hips and back legs. Despite this he likes to keep active and enjoys both walks and play.
