Battenburg is a fun-loving Collie looking for his forever home. This handsome boy is searching for patient owners who are happy to take introductions at his pace. Battenburg can be worried when meeting new people and sometimes hides his shy side behind his characteristic Collie charm. Once he gets to know you, his playful and affectionate personality really begins to shine. Due to this, we're looking for an adult-only home where he can get to know his new family over a few visits to the centre. Battenburg has made a few canine friends during his time with us and loves nothing more than zooming around our secure paddocks. He can be a little unsure when meeting new dogs, but with a confident, playful companion he soon joins in the fun. He could potentially live with another like-minded dog, pending successful introductions at the centre. Like many Collies, Battenburg is incredibly clever and thrives when he has a job to do. He absolutely loves his toys, with foot balls being a particular favourite, and enjoys games that tap into his natural stalking and chasing instincts. Activities such as sheepball, scent work and other breed-specific enrichment would be a fantastic outlet for his intelligence and problem-solving skills. Toys are also a brilliant way to build a strong bond with him, although he's certainly not fussy and is always ready for a game! Battenburg is an active lad who would love a home where he can enjoy adventures through woodlands, countryside walks and plenty of opportunities to explore.
