Aslan came to us as an owner surrender. This male has probably not experienced much in his previous life. Loud noises, strange objects, or people suddenly appearing around corners startle and sometimes frighten him. Outside, Aslan has hunting instincts. We don't know if he can be left alone. Strangers are initially scary, but Aslan can now be quickly convinced otherwise and appreciates treats and cuddles. Outside he's still insecure but makes daily progress. He orients well to humans, though dog encounters or small animal sightings currently throw him off. When Aslan trusts completely, he shows his playful, cuddly nature. We seek a home with dog-experienced people who will continue his development with patience, as he needs much training and guidance. Aslan can live with a confident first dog. The ideal home is ground-level with a sufficiently high and escape-proof fenced garden.
