Benny would love an active family who can embrace his youthful energy and help him learn about the world. He could live with secondary-school-aged children who are experienced with excitable, larger-breed dogs. He may enjoy having walking friends, but he is still learning how to interact politely with other dogs and can be intense, so calm, tolerant canine companions would be best. Benny finds being left alone difficult, and this will need to be introduced gradually once he has settled into his new home. With patience, positive training and plenty of fun activities, Benny has so much potential to become a wonderful companion! Benny is an energetic 11-month-old Foxhound Cross who is coping well in kennels but is eager to get out and explore the world! He loves running around, playing with toys, enjoying enrichment puzzles and sharing a cuddle with his handlers. Benny is happy to meet new people and is doing well with handling, although he can be a little wiggly, so tasty treats help him slow down and enjoy the experience. When visiting new places, he can initially be excitable but soon settles into sniffing and exploring before checking back in with his handlers. He can be strong on the lead but is also capable of walking nicely, so his new family should continue positive training to help him develop good lead manners.
