A belly is a nice, older gentleman. Although he previously managed on his own as a free-roaming cat, the diagnosis of FeLV+ and other health problems led to him being in the shelter and looking for a responsible permanent or temporary home. Maybe he still has a chance for a soft couch and a stroking person? He may not be the most beautiful, but he has no lack of charm. Just look at those eyes! After getting to know him for a while, he is cautious, but once he accepts your presence, he is interested and seeks attention. He is a sympathetic cat who has managed for many years, and now he needs care. We did not let him return to the street, but the alternative is a cage... Unless you give him a chance? This cat is a FeLV carrier. What is FeLV+? It is a cat leukemia virus that can only be infected by CATS - so neither you nor your dog. It is transmitted between cats through saliva (shared bowls, grooming), shared litter boxes and from mother to kittens. Cats with FeLV can live with other FeLV-infected cats and other animals - for example, with a rabbit. Treatment for FeLV is treatment of its symptoms (which cats often do not show for a long time), and with proper care (diet, regular veterinary check-ups and a safe, quiet environment) the cat can live long and comfortably.

Brzuch to miły, starszy pan. 🙂
