Charlie has a little message for you đ Charlie is a big baby of eight months arrived from a shelter in Spain. We don't know his past exactly, but the world of humans and home seems new to him. He needs time and a lot of patience and presence to understand this new world and learn its habits. Charlie is very close to humans, kind, intelligent, very curious and energetic, and funny with his big paws he doesn't know what to do with yet (his human thinks he's a basset hound/orangutan mix). He loves using his sense of smell, and dragging his little blanket behind him (or various objects left unattended...). He doesn't say no to a big session of scratches and sweet words. When he sleeps, he offers his best grandpa snores. Charlie LOVES being outside. His eyes shine with joy as soon as his human takes out the leash and puts on her coat. On a leash, he's a great little boy who starts to react well to the voice. Like any good hunting dog, the nose on the ground is a must on every outing, but this doesn't stop him from already showing skills in being connected to his human: with a little guidance and once the bond of trust is created, Charlie will prove to be listening and the walks will be even more beautiful, but don't expect a dog that will look at you waiting for a request, come back immediately and stay at your feet: you will have to respect his need for tracking and autonomy. On the other hand, urban environments stress him too much for the moment. Charlie prefers forests and fields by far. Charlie needs his fellow dogs. During walks on a leash with another dog, he manages more and more to "unhook" and walk calmly side by side without bothering him. The big challenge for Charlie is the inside: in the house and the small garden of his current human, he doesn't know how to manage the environment and it stresses and overwhelms him a lot. Charlie needs to find a family who will accompany him with understanding and patience. He will reveal himself as the fantastic dog he is: if you offer him the right environment, he has all the skills, but his current human has significant health problems. She is doing everything she can to invest herself until her replacement, but the situation is becoming urgent. She also realizes that the semi-urban environment and the lifestyle she offers him will not help him flourish in the long term. The little guy needs fresh air, countryside and friends to be himself and happy. A patient family, capable of remaining in a calm energy, with a lot of time to devote to his adaptation to human life, is a must for Charlie, as well as a rural environment, quality time outdoors and the presence of fellow dogs, either regularly, or (even better!) already at home. Charlie has a lot to share. He learns quickly and could become a fantastic dog with the right family. His current family is in Seine-Maritime (76), but is ready to travel throughout France if it means he has a chance to enjoy the life he deserves. Charlie a Ă©normĂ©ment Ă partager.
