Persönlichkeit: Unser wunderschöner Cooper hat eine sehr lange Reise hinter sich, seit er bei der Arche angekommen ist, aber jetzt fühlt er sich selbstsicher genug, um sein Zuhause für immer zu suchen! Cooper ist bei uns einige Zeit geblieben, denn alles war für ihn zunächst überwältigend und beängstigend. Er zeigt allmählich seine lustige, freche Seite, da seine Selbstsicherheit täglich wächst, und wir suchen ein engagiertes und geduldiges Zuhause, das bereit ist, zuzuhören und mit dem Team zusammenzuarbeiten, um Cooper dabei zu helfen, sich einzuleben und den Fortschritt, den er bis jetzt gemacht hat, weiter zu verbessern. Verhalten: Cooper stammt aus einem Haushalt mit mehreren Hunden und hat wahrscheinlich nicht viel menschliche Interaktion oder die Außenwelt erlebt. Als Cooper bei der Arche ankam, war er sehr besorgt über Umgebung und Menschen. Allmählich hat er gute Beziehungen zu unserem Personal hier im Zentrum aufgebaut, allerdings kann er noch immer zusammenzucken und erstarrt bei Berührungen. Er beginnt nun, Interesse an Kontakten zu Menschen zu zeigen und manchmal genießt er einen kurzen Streicheln. Neue Adoptanten müssen verständnisvoll sein und bereit sein, ihm Raum zu geben und ihm die Möglichkeit zu bieten, diese Momente in seinem eigenen Tempo zu erleben. Cooper genießt die Zeit mit anderen Hunden und kann von der Zeit mit ihnen etwas Selbstsicherheit gewinnen. Sein Spiel kann manchmal etwas übertrieben sein, kann aber geregelt werden. Obwohl wir darauf achten möchten, dass Cooper ein Einzelhaustier bleibt, würde er von Freunden, die ihm auf Spaziergängen Gesellschaft leisten, sehr profitieren. Auf Spaziergängen ist Cooper immer noch dabei, sich zurechtzufinden. Er ist ein sehr mutiger Junge und nimmt vieles gelassen hin, doch seine Erfahrung mit der Außenwelt und neuen Situationen muss langsam und vorsichtig erfolgen. Trotz seines Startes im Leben hat Cooper uns mit seiner Resilienz und Willigkeit, die Welt zu erkunden, beeindruckt. Wir wissen, dass er mit Geduld und Zeit ein wundervoller Teil eines neuen Zuhauses werden wird! Unterkunft: Kann nicht in den PO1-Bereich vermittelt werden. Cooper benötigt Zugang zu einem privaten und sicheren Garten, um zu erkunden. Er wird auch von einem Raum profitieren, in dem er ungestört bleiben kann, und potenzielle Adoptanten sollten bereit sein, Bereiche mit Treppengittern abzuschotten. Wir glauben, dass Cooper von einer ruhigeren, nur für Erwachsene geeigneten Familie mit 1-2 Mitgliedern und begrenzten Besuchern profitieren wird. Kinder/Tiere: Cooper sucht ein Zuhause ohne Kinder. Personality:Our gorgeous Cooper has had quite the journey since his arrival at the Ark but now he’s feeling confident enough to search for his forever home! Cooper has been with us for some time as everything was very overwhelming and scary for him when he first arrived in our care. He is gradually showing us his fun, cheeky side as his confidence continues to grow each day and we are looking for a dedicated and patient home who will be willing to listen and work with the team in helping Cooper settle and continue to build on the progress he’s made so far. Behaviour:Cooper came from a multi dog household and likely has not experienced much in the way of human interaction or the outside world. Upon Cooper’s arrival at the Ark he was very worried by both the environment and people. Slowly he has managed to build good relationships with staff here at the centre though he can still flinch and freeze around handling. He is beginning to show an interest in contact with people and occasionally will enjoy a very short fuss, new adopters need to be understanding and willing to provide him space and the opportunity to engage in these moments at his own pace.Cooper enjoys spending time with other dogs and can get a little confidence boost form spending time with them. His play can get a little over the top at times but can be managed, so whilst we are looking for Cooper to be an only pet he would massively benefit from having dog friends to join out on his walks!Out on walks Cooper is still very much finding his feet. He is a very brave boy and takes a lot of things in his stride but his exposure to the outside and new experiences will need to be done gradually and carefully. Despite his start in life Cooper has amazed us with his resilience and willingness to experience the world, we know that with patience and time he is going to make a wonderful addition to his new home! Housing:Cannot be rehomed to the PO1 area. Cooper will need access to a private and secure garden to explore. He will also benefit from a space where he can go to be undisturbed and potential adopters should be prepared to corner spaces off with the use of stair gates. We feel that Cooper will benefit from a quieter, adult only household with 1-2 members and limited visitors. Children/pets:Cooper is looking for an adult only home. Please note, applications with visiting or resident children will not be processed. Cooper will also need a home without other animals but would benefit from dog friends to meet up with outside the home, especially when he first starts exploring. Vet history:Cooper is up to date with flea, worming and vaccinations. He has no current ongoing medical conditions. Cooper is currently on a course of on-going behaviour medication which will need to continue as he settles in. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
