Drako is a friendly, energetic, and playful boy, who has been in the shelter for no fault of his own already for years and years…. He loves to live together with social females, and to our sadness, all of Drako’s girlfriends have been adopted one by one…. when is it his turn? He is quite a small boy for his breed, at the same time he is quite chunky! Everyone who meets Drako, will quickly know that he likes to eat! First when Drako arrived to the shelter years ago, he was not trusting people quickly.Over time he gained confidence and learned to open up to us, showing his sweetest and most charming side. Once he knows you well, he starts seeking your attention and loves receiving snacks. He doesn’t enjoy masses of strangers directly coming to him, touching him without respect, like us humans as well, but as soon as he understands that he is loved and respected, he becomes wiggly and goofy. At first he pulls on the leash and can be a bit rough when playing or receiving affection, so his excitement needs to be managed. He is not reactive with other dogs. In his kennel he is calm; he loves resting on his warm bed and sunbathing. Drako needs an experienced family, preferably familiar with this type of breed, who knows how to handle and train him properly. He could live with another sociable dog after a proper introduction. We are looking for a home without children at the moment, especially due to Drako’s love for all edible things, so snacks would most likely be taken from children’s hands quickly. A PPP license is required and the shelter can help adopters with that. 💛 This boy finally deserves a home where he can feel safe and loved.
