Freddie is an incredibly friendly, affectionate boy with a zest for life and plenty of energy to burn. He'll be looking for an active home that can keep up with his adventurous spirit and give him lots of opportunities to explore. Alongside his physical exercise, Freddie would love plenty of mental stimulation too, with enrichment activities, scent games and training sessions helping to keep his clever brain busy. He particularly loves long walks, beach trips and splashing around in the sea or a river. Tennis balls are one of Freddie's favourite things, and he'll happily play a game of fetch whenever he gets the chance. He's also very food motivated, especially if sausage, peanut butter, apple, banana or blackberries are on offer! Freddie already knows "sit", "down", "wait" and "paw", as well as hand signals, and he's eager to learn even more through positive, reward-based training. When the adventures are over, he's just as happy soaking up cuddles and fuss. Freddie is a fun-loving one-year-old Collie cross Springer Spaniel looking for an active family to share his adventures with. He could live with another confident, playful dog of a similar size, as he can sometimes feel a little worried around larger, more intense dogs. Freddie could also live with secondary school-aged children. He is friendly with most new people and can be a little worried around some. Freddie could cope with a resonably busy home environment. Freddie is house-trained, although he may need a few reminders using positive reward training while settling into his new home. He has previously been left for up to four hours, but any time spent alone may need to be built up gradually. Freddie is currently working on building up confidence with gettting in the car and then moving onto happy travels. Freddie would love to find a home where he can continue this training and a home with lovely walks right on the doorstep. On his walks he can pull on the lead at times when he's excited, but with continued guidance he has lots of potential. We have no history of Freddie living with cats, small furries or livestock.
