Cozy garden lover seeks a peaceful home: Herdenschutz mix Loki (8) finally wants finally feel at home ❤️🏠 Our eight-year-old, neutered herdguard dog mix Loki had actually already found his great happiness. After more than a year of waiting, he moved into his new home in early 2025. But fate was cruel: just two months later, his owner passed away unexpectedly, and the gentle giant ended up back at our animal shelter in March 2025. Now we’re still searching—more urgently than ever—for a permanent home for him. Loki is an absolutely calm, cozy companion who no longer needs marathon-length walks—short strolls are perfectly sufficient for him. He loves relaxing while being brushed or basking in the sun. For his perfect happiness, he’d love a home with a securely fenced garden where he can also take on some herding duties, as is typical for his breed. Inside the house, he behaves impeccably: he’s fully house-trained, can be left alone for hours at a time, and loves riding along in the car. Teenagers from adolescence onward are welcome to live in his new home. Loki gets along wonderfully with female dogs; with male dogs, it depends on mutual compatibility. Due to his impressive size and slight issues with his musculoskeletal system, for which he takes medication permanently, finding him a home has been challenging. We’re therefore looking for experienced people who’ll give this big senior dog a chance. Who will finally give this loyal soul the forever home he deserves? Please get in touch to schedule a visit!
