He is confident around other dogs when out on walks, though he’ll need continued support to manage his excitement. Marley cannot live with cats, other dogs, or small furries, and will thrive best as the only pet in the home. He has a medium energy level, so he’ll enjoy regular exercise balanced with downtime. Marley can be left alone for short periods (1–4 hours), but this will need to be built up gradually, as he can become worried when left by himself. With love, patience, and the right guidance, Marley has all the potential to grow into a wonderfully well-mannered and loyal companion. Marley is a young, lively boy aged 1 year and 8 months who is looking for a patient and understanding adult-only home. He is a friendly lad who can sometimes come across as a little rude or pushy when meeting new people, often getting overexcited and jumping up. His training is already underway, and he’s learning to keep all four paws on the floor, so he’ll need adopters who are committed to continuing this positive training. Marley can become overstimulated, which may lead to grabby or mouthy behaviours, so it’s important his new family can recognise these moments and help him regulate with calm, consistent guidance. He’ll need to remain on lead in public places for now while he builds his focus and manners. Marley would benefit from a home where his adopters can visit him multiple times at the centre, working closely with the Training and Behaviour team to support a smooth transition and set him up for success.
