Wunderschöner 18 Monate alter Husky/Deutschschäferhund-Mischling Nanuk kam als Streuner in das Bristol ARC. Sie liebt Menschen, ist aber anfangs etwas nervös, daher sind langsame Vorstellungen besser. Sobald sie vertraut, liebt sie Kuscheln und persönlichen Raum kann außer Kraft gesetzt werden, da sie sich näher und näher heranmacht und Küsse gibt. Ein Fan von weichen Spielzeugen und Leckereien muss sie jeden Morgen ihre „großen Zoomies“ haben. Nanuk würde von einem Besitzer profitieren, der etwas über diese Rassen weiß und 1–2 Spaziergänge am Tag zu schätzen weiß, aber wenn sie einen großen Garten zum Spielen hat, müssen diese nicht wirklich lange Spaziergänge sein. Außerdem hat sie eine wunderschöne, lange Wolle, daher ist regelmäßige Pflege unerlässlich, da sie in der Vergangenheit Hautprobleme hatte. Sie wäre am besten in einem Zuhause geeignet, in dem sie die einzige Hunde ist, da es offensichtlich ist, dass sie nicht viel Interaktion mit Hunden hatte und ein wenig unsicher ist, also wäre etwas ruhige und langsames Sozialisierung in Zukunft sehr hilfreich für sie. Eine wunderschöne junge Frau, die auf ein sicheres, liebevolles Zuhause wartet, das ihr dabei helfen wird, ihr Selbstvertrauen zu steigern! Stunning 18 month old Husky/German Shepherd Cross Nanuk came into Bristol ARC as a stray. Nanuk can be wary at first with new people, and can bark when first approached. However, if you let her approach you first she does a lot better and is friends very quickly when introduced in this way. She can occasionally bark at people on walks if they stop and start speaking to her / yourself, however when walking past people or dogs on walks, she isn’t vocal and walks past them well. She is quite strong on the lead at times, when she knows where she wants to go, so we are doing some loose lead training to help her with this. Otherwise, she loves her walks and enjoys them and would appreciate 1-2 walks a day. She can be a bit more anxious when walking on the roads and prefers to walk away from them but can walk on roads (not essential to be away from them). In the home, we think she will be quite vocal if a lot is going on in the home – doors knocking or lots of people coming and going. She barks when people knock on the door or come in the room, however once she knows who it is she will be super loveable and even jump up in excitement at the person. If she doesn’t know the person she will give the person a big sniff all over and will need a slow introduction as she can get spooked by sudden movements. Once she knows the person isn’t a threat she carries on as normal. She is a bit undersocialised with other dogs and shows these behaviours when meeting dogs on walks. We think she will be better living on her own because of this. However, we have done a dog mix with her with Hugh, which went well and they had a nice play. She was quite rude at times though (due to being undersocialised) and would jump on him which Hugh didn’t appreciate. She would like her new owners to help her become more social with other dogs with slow training introductions. She loves toy play, especially soft squeaky toys and will enjoy playing with you as well as by herself. She enjoys training at times (when she is in the mood for it – a very ‘husky’ trait) and she knows sit and paw. She is so loveable and will give all her new friends kisses on the face if they’ll allow it! A gorgeous young gal who is looking for a safe, loving home who will help her confidence grow!
