Poppy is a sweet, sensitive dog who can find kennel life a little overwhelming, but she is making lovely progress with her confidence and training. She loves tennis balls, enjoys herding-style games, and thrives when given positive outlets for her energy. Poppy would do best with owners who are committed to continuing her training and helping her settle into home life at her own pace. With time, patience, and understanding, she has all the makings of a loyal and rewarding companion. Poppy is a 2-year-old Collie cross looking for a patient and understanding home. She’s a bright, active girl who loves keeping busy and would enjoy plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to use her clever mind. Poppy can take a little time to build trust with new people, so potential adopters should be happy to visit her a few times and continue working with our behaviour team as she settles in. She is also learning to feel more comfortable with handling and wearing a muzzle for vet visits. An adult-only home where she can be the only pet would suit her best.
