Scooby befindet sich derzeit in Pflege in Großbritannien und ist ein wunderbarer Junge, der Menschen absolut liebt und sehr zärtlich und liebevoll ist. Er liebt menschliche Berührung und Kuscheln und entspannt sich richtig in Gesellschaft von Menschen. Das bedeutet jedoch, dass er manchmal Schwierigkeiten hat, wenn keine Menschen anwesend sind, deshalb suchen wir eine Familie, in der seine Menschen meistens anwesend sind, und für die Zeiten, in denen sie nicht da sind, sind sie bereit, weiterhin mit Scooby zu arbeiten (mit Hilfe unseres Trainings und eines Verhaltensberaters). Er ist ein kluger Junge und liebt es zu lernen – er hat sitzen und Pfötchen schnell gelernt und weiß auch, vor dem Überqueren einer Straße zu sitzen. Er geht gut an der Leine und wird meist andere Hunde an der Leine ruhig und friedlich passieren, aber er mag es nicht, wenn Hunde ohne Leine in sein Raum kommen (vollkommen verständlich!) daher benötigt er einen Adoptanten, der in solchen Situationen für ihn einstehen und seine Ausbildung fortsetzen wird. Er ist wirklich gut im Zuhause – sauber und nicht zerstörerisch und legt sich glücklich hin und schläft. Er reist gut im Auto und wird gerne mit dir dorthin gehen – eine Kaffee- oder Arbeit oder auf Abenteuer. Scooby ist ein empfindsamer Mensch mit einem Herzen und während er alle Menschen liebt, sogar die, die er gerade erst kennengelernt hat, braucht er dennoch Zeit, um sich einzuleben und sich anzupassen, nachdem er adoptiert wurde – wie viele Podencos braucht er einfach Zeit und Geduld, aber er wird dich mit der liebsten Bindung belohnen und dein bester Freund fürs Leben sein. Er hat definitiv "Seele-Hund" Energie! Scooby war zuvor kurzzeitig adoptiert worden in ein lebhaftes Zuhause, wo in der frühen Anpassungsphase einige Vorfälle mit Familienhunden stattfanden, als er sie besuchte (keine Probleme mit dem Residenten Hund, mit dem er lebte). Wir werden diese Details mit potenziellen Adoptanten genauer besprechen. Aufgrund dessen suchen wir nun eine Familie, in der Scooby der einzige Hund sein kann, während wir seine Selbstvertrauensaufbau mit professioneller Unterstützung weiterführen. Scooby arbeitet derzeit mit einem Verhaltensberater und macht großartig mit – wir werden Adoptenten unterstützen, indem wir einen Übergangsplan und kontinuierliche Unterstützung bereitstellen, sobald er sein Endziel findet. Da er in Großbritannien ist, ist er für Treffen verfügbar, die vom Team überwacht werden. Er könnte mit älteren Kindern leben, die 12+ sind und ruhiger und respektvoller sind. Scooby ist kastriert, geimpft und hat alle mediterranen Krankheiten negativ getestet. Er hat einen Pass und ist zur Adoption verfügbar. Scooby is currently in foster in the UK and is a wonderful boy who absolutely adores people and is so affectionate and loving. He loves human contact and snuggles and truly relaxes in the company of people. This does mean he can struggle a little without people present so we are looking for a home where his humans will be around most of the time, and for the times they are not, they are happy to continue working with Scooby on this (with the help of our trainer and a behaviourist). He is a clever boy and loves to learn - he’s learnt sit and paw very quickly, and also knows to sit down before crossing a road. He walks well on the lead and will happily and calmly pass most other on lead dogs but doesn’t enjoy off lead dogs coming into his space (totally fair enough!) so will need an adopter than is happy to advocate for him in these situations and continue his training. He’s really good in the home - clean and non destructive and happily settles down and snoozes. He travels well in the car too and will happily come with you wherever you go - a coffee shop, to work or on adventures. Scooby is a sensitive soul at heart and whilst he loves all people, even ones he has just met, he will still need time to settle and adjust once he is adopted - like many podencos he just needs time and patience but will reward you with the most loving bond and be your best friend for life. He certainly has ‘soul dog’ energy about him! Scooby was previously adopted briefly to a busy home where in the early settling period he had a couple of incidents with family dogs when he was visiting them (no issues with the resident dog that he was living with). We will discuss these in more detail with any prospective adopters. As a result we are now looking for a home where Scooby can be the only dog while we continue his confidence building with professional support. Scooby is currently working with a behaviourist and doing brilliantly - we will continue to support adopters by providing a transition plan and ongoing support once he finds his forever home. As he’s in the UK he is available for meet and greets which will be supervised by the team. He could live with older children that are 12+ and calmer and respectful.
