Scrappy ist ein 1-jähriger männlicher Sheltie, der ein aktives Zuhause mit geduldigen Adoptanten sucht. Er ist energisch, spielerisch und liebt es, mit Spielzeug zu spielen. Er ist zärtlich und glücklich, aber er benötigt weiterhin Training und Sozialisierung, einschließlich des Lehrens, dass 4 Pfoten auf dem Boden sein müssen, wenn man Leute begrüßt, da er oft springt. Er ist stark an der Leine und benötigt fortlaufende Leinentraining. Er würde gerne in einem privaten, sicheren Garten laufen. Er hat andere Hunde in unserer Pflege kennengelernt, und obwohl er untersozialisiert ist, ist er ängstlich gegenüber ihnen. Er wäre am glücklichsten als einziger Hund im Haus. Die Adoptanten müssen bereit sein, ihm bei der Entwicklung von Selbstvertrauen gegenüber anderen Hunden in einer kontrollierten Umgebung mit viel positiver Verstärkung zu helfen. Da er als Streuner ins Haus kam, haben wir keine Vorgeschichte über ihn, daher bevorzugen wir, dass Kinder im Haus 14 Jahre oder älter sind.

Meet Scrappy! Scrappy has a wonderfully sweet and playful personality that is just waiting to shine in the right home. He was a little nervous when he first came into us, but given a bit of time and patience he soon come around. Once he feels comfortable, you’ll discover an affectionate, happy lad who absolutely loves a fuss and enjoys being around his people. He is an energetic, playful and delightfully giddy boy who loves having fun! Toys are a big favourite, and he will happily throw himself into a good play session anytime. Scrappy is looking for an active home where he can enjoy plenty of exercise, long walks and exciting adventures. Whether it’s exploring new places, heading out on a countryside walk or having a good game with his toys, he’ll be happiest with people who enjoy being out and about as much as he does. He does know his basic commands but will need continued training and socialisation including teaching him 4 paws should be on the floor when greeting people as he does tend to jump up a lot. He is quite strong on the lead so will need continued lead training. He would love a private secure garden to run around in. Scrappy has interacted with other dogs whilst in our care, he is very under-socialised and nervous around them so we feel he would be happiest as the only dog in the home. The adopter would need to commit to helping him gain confidence around other dogs in a controlled environment with lots of positive reinforcement. As he came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on him so would prefer any children in the home to be 14+ years.
