Meet Ty!Ty is a gorgeous, affectionate and excitable Mastiff cross who is looking for his forever home. He is a big, lovable character with a wonderful personality and so much potential.Ty absolutely loves people and enjoys attention, fuss and praise. He can be very bouncy and vocal when he is excited, especially when people approach his kennel, but once he is out and has had a chance to settle, you see a much calmer side to him. He loves exploring, enjoys spending time in the field and will happily come back to you for fuss and treats.Ty is also a big fan of toys and particularly enjoys chasing a ball. He can become very focused on his toys, so his new family will need to help him learn to share and give them up. He is a bright boy who responds well to calm handling and verbal praise.When out walking, Ty can initially pull on the lead, especially when he is excited to get out, but he settles much better with calm, consistent handling and after he has had some exercise. He has shown lovely, relaxed body language when meeting other dogs and has successfully enjoyed walking alongside another dog after a sensible introduction.Ty has previously lived happily with dogs, cats and a young child. With the right introductions and careful management, he could potentially live with a cat and dog-savvy children who are comfortable around a large and enthusiastic dog.Ty is not currently house-trained and will need a patient family who can help him learn. He also has a history of separation anxiety, so his new home will need to work gradually on building his confidence when left alone. Ty is not comfortable being crated and would be best suited to a home where crate use isn't necessary.Ty is a big, bouncy boy with a huge heart. He will need an active and committed family who can give him the time, patience, structure and positive training he needs.
