AMBER — A LITTLE GIRL WHO JUST NEEDS TO FEEL SAFE Amber is a beautiful 3-year-old medium-sized girl who is very sweet, very timid and still a little unsure of the big, noisy world around her. She can be worried about coming out of her kennel with all the barking and commotion, and the lead initially makes her nervous. But once she’s out of the shelter, it’s like a different world for Amber. She walks wonderfully well on the lead, is incredibly gentle and completely ignored the other dogs she passed. Recently, Amber took a small treat ever so gently from Nicola’s hand and even enjoyed a lovely tummy rub. These might seem like little things, but for a timid girl learning to trust people, they mean so much. Amber and her kennel friend Crystal give each other confidence and reassurance, and Amber clearly loves having Crystal by her side. We think there is a lovely, gentle girl hiding behind that shyness. She just needs someone patient who will give her time, kindness and the chance to discover how wonderful life can be outside the shelter. Could you be the person Amber learns to trust?
