On the 2nd of December 2014, someone turned up at the shelter gates with a box full of puppies. They told us that they found them at the landfill and we had no choice but to take the puppies in. April was one of those puppies. She was so small, skinny, covered in fleas and had a swollen belly from all the internal parasites. Plenty of love and care saw her put on weight and grow into a healthy, happy, playful girl.
