Black and Bella are black labradors, brother and sister, who were left behind by their human after he left the country. They were both soon adopted by a couple who were at the time expanding their family with small newcomers. Black & Bella have always been together, however as sometimes does happen in double-sibling adoptions as well as in general multi-dog households, tensions grew between the dogs as the family life developed. To avoid any more serious consequences to one of the dogs during discussions between the dogs, the family made the responsible decision of reaching out to the shelter, and to give Black back for adoption. Black is a dog that has been growing up in a family environment and he is lovely with children. He can get a bit protective about his humans, so even though he is a wonderful Labrador boy, dog experience still is needed in the family. Black, like most Labradors, absolutely loves water and would be so grateful to live in a home with frequent access to a pool or seaside. Now Black is looking for a home as an only dog, and even though he has accompanied children from pregnancy onwards, then now in case of children in his new home, we would prefer a home with older, calm and responsible children, to help Black settle into a new life and new family. He would also be absolutely fine to be the right-wing man of a one-person household. Black walks nicely on the leash, and is currently in the shelter, walking with different volunteers. He is very affectionate and calm, a little bit shy at first when he doesn't know you yet. As he is coming from a home, it would be great to find his forever home before the shelter sadness sets in. He is house-trained. With 2 homes behind him already, we are now looking for a family that will indeed be his forever family for the rest of his life. His shoulder height is approximately 56cm.
