✅ Can live with children aged 7+ ✅ Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped ✅ Will receive five week's FREE pet insurance Tiny in stature but certainly not in personality, Clara is an exceptionally affectionate little girl who has completely charmed her foster family. She's curious and friendly with the people she meets, happily greeting men and women alike, and once she decides it's cuddle time, she doesn't believe in doing things by halves. Clara's favourite time of day is the morning, particularly once breakfast is out of the way and the important business of cuddling can begin. She'll jump onto the bed, snuggle right into you with her face almost pressed against yours, purr away, stare intently into your eyes, and offer her forehead for kisses. Affection is genuinely important to Clara, so although she isn't needy throughout the day, her new family will need to make time for the closeness she loves. She's also beautifully independent. Clara spends a good portion of the afternoon sleeping and is quite happy in her own company, meaning a family who works outside the home for a few days each week could still suit her. She enjoys comfortable sleeping spots and has a particular fondness for being somewhere high up - even the top of a dressing table has apparently passed Clara's very particular comfort test. When she's feeling playful, feather wands and toys moving beneath blankets can keep her entertained. Clara has met children aged seven and ten and was friendly, confident, and happy to play with them. Her foster feels she'd be best with older, cat-savvy children who understand that she's not always available for entertainment and sometimes simply wants to sleep. A calm child who'd enjoy having a gentle, cuddly companion could be a particularly lovely match for her. Where Clara is much more particular is her opinion of other cats. Despite slow introductions to her foster's resident male, she hasn't become comfortable sharing her environment with him. She hasn't attacked him, but his presence appears to restrict how confidently she explores the house, and she continues to hiss and growl. Her foster believes Clara would be happiest as the only cat in her home, where she can truly relax and become queen of her own territory. She hasn't been tested with dogs and, given her response to another cat and her tiny size, we don’t feel she’d take kindly to a dog. Clara is ideally suited to indoor life. She's shown virtually no interest in exploring outdoors and doesn't even spend much time watching the world through the window. Give her cosy beds, high resting places, toys, enrichment, and plenty of affection, and she seems perfectly content with the comforts of home. For a former street cat, Clara has adjusted beautifully. Her foster describes her as polite, gentle, and remarkably easy to care for: she eats well, uses her litter tray reliably, and has shown no concerning behaviour towards people. Her one minor act of rebellion is occasionally helping herself to a few sips from a human's drinking glass when nobody’s looking! Clara doesn't need an action-packed home. What she needs is somewhere she can finally feel completely secure, without another animal making her question whether the space is really hers. Give this tiny girl a peaceful home, plenty of cosy sleeping spots, and time every morning for cuddles, and you'll gain an incredibly sweet little companion who has an enormous amount of affection to give.
