Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs ongoing support Can I be left alone? Potentially, once settled Being a stray, we don’t know if Dr Doof has been left home alone before. He will need any home alone building from scratch once he has settled in. Do I have any medical conditions? History of Dr Doof has historic medical conditions, namely Pyoderma (a small area of sore skin) which is now resolved, and an previous episode of Conjunctivitis, which is also fully cleared up. This will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? Yes Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information Dr Doof is a social and upbeat boy who loves playing with female dogs. He can be a bit excitable and full-on, so any dog he is to live with will need to be confident and well-socialised, who can match his energetic play style and understand him. Dr Doof is best suited to living with a similar-sized, female only or as the only dog in the home, with regular walks and playdates to meet his social needs. At present, he is not suitable to live with another male dog or small dogs. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Dr Doof can live with children aged 8+ who will be mindful of his timid side initially, but then be confidant around him when he comes out of his shell – he loves to zoom around and be a bouncy boy! What type of environment would suit me? Dr Doof will need a private, secure garden as his own space where he can stretch his long legs. He loves our secure gardens and zooms around at 100mph! This will also be very beneficial for his toilet training. About Dr Doof Dr Doof is a lurcher with a very important job: being an absolute doofus! He may not have a PhD in anything particularly useful, but he is a highly qualified expert in being affectionate, getting the zoomies and finding the comfiest spot on the sofa. Dr Doof is a wonderfully affectionate boy who loves nothing more than curling up on the sofa with his people. He’s happiest when he’s close to you, soaking up all the fuss and enjoying some quality sofa time. But don’t let his love of lounging fool you — Dr Doof is also a keen adventurer. He loves a long walk with plenty of good sniffs, taking his time to investigate all the important smells along the way. And once he gets home? Straight back to the sofa!
