I am EDMUNDO and I was raised on a farm with other animals, far from human contact. To make matters worse, a human put me in a very small barred cage and left me in the middle of a field in an area where people rarely passed. Their idea was that I wouldn't survive. I was there for so many days that I could barely stand when a man walking his dog found me. This man alerted the police, and volunteers from ALBA came to take me to their animal shelter. I've been living at the animal shelter for many years. I don't trust people much, and given my history, you can imagine why. They let me live in the office, and I get along well with other dogs. I come and go from the office as I please. The downside is that I don't really enjoy human affection and don't like being touched. Can you help me overcome my trauma? Edmundo is already neutered. Me llamo EDMUNDO y me debí de criar en una finca con más animales y lejos del contacto con los humanos. Para colmo fue un humano el que me metió en una jaula de barrotes muy pequeña y me dejó en medio de un campo, en una zona donde generalmente no pasaba nadie. Su idea era que yo no sobreviviese. Llevaba tantos días allí metido que casi no podía ponerme en pie, cuando apareció un señor paseando a su perro. Este señor avisó a la policía y vinieron los voluntarios de ALBA para llevarme a su albergue. Llevo viviendo en el albergue muchos años. No me fío mucho de la gente y, conociendo mi historia, ya te puedes imaginar cuál es el motivo. Me dejan vivir en la oficina y me llevo genial con otros perros. Entro y salgo de la oficina cuando me apetece. Lo malo es que no acabo de disfrutar con las caricias de los humanos y no me gusta que me toquen. Me ayudas a superar mi trauma?
