Fąfel is a young Labrador-type dog who has already experienced the feeling of being abandoned and unwanted many times in his three-year life. He ended up in the animal shelter because his caregiver went away. He was found by her and stayed with her for eight months, but that was enough for him to become attached, and now he's looking for the person who won't come back for him. Fąfel is an extremely sensitive, delicate and very affection-seeking dog. During walks, he quietly sniffs the ground and looks around as if still searching for someone. He is very contact-oriented, clinging to people with his whole being - even at the veterinarian, in stressful situations, he seeks support in a human hand, cuddles, hides his head in the hand. This is a dog who loves people and needs them very much. We are just starting to get to know him, but we already know that: he accepts other dogs - he calmly passes them, reacts mainly when another dog approaches him, he probably gets along well with a cat - he was able to calmly lie down and observe a cat he met, without tension or excitement, he isn't afraid of cars, walks nicely on a leash, doesn't pull, likes to sniff and explore, is well-behaved at the veterinarian, doesn't dramatize, tolerates procedures well, can be shy - for example, he was afraid of the clipper - therefore he needs a gentle approach and support from a caregiver in difficult moments for him. We know that in his previous home he had separation anxiety, so he particularly needs stability, routine, a sense of security and wise guidance. This is a dog with great potential, but also with a wounded heart. Due to the potential separation anxiety, a preferred home is one where Fąfel won't spend long hours alone; a home that understands the needs of a dog strongly attached to the caregiver and a family open to working on this, also under the supervision of a behaviorist; an active family that will provide him with interesting walks full of sniffing and exploration. In the adoption process, we recommend a pre-adoption visit to check how Fąfel will find himself in the home and the potential surrounding area for walks. If Fąfel were to be placed in a home where there is already another pet, an introduction to the resident is required.

Fąfel to młody pies w typie labradora, który w swoim trzyletnim życiu zaznał już niejeden raz uczucia porzucenia i bycia niechcianym. Trafił do schroniska, bo jego opiekunka wyjechała. Został przez nią znaleziony i był u niej osiem miesięcy, ale to wystarczyło, by się przywiązać, a teraz wypatrywać człowieka, który już po niego nie wróci. Fąfel to pies niezwykle wrażliwy, delikatny i bardzo spragniony bliskości. Na spacerach popiskuje cicho pod nosem i rozgląda się, jakby nadal kogoś szukał. Jest kontaktowy, lgnie do człowieka całym sobą – nawet u weterynarza, przy stresujących sytuacjach, szuka wsparcia w ludzkiej dłoni, przytula się, chowa głowę w rękę. To pies, który kocha ludzi i bardzo ich potrzebuje. Dopiero zaczynamy go poznawać, ale już wiemy, że: akceptuje inne psy – mija je spokojnie, reaguje głównie wtedy, gdy inny pies go zaczepia, prawdopodobnie dobrze dogada się z kotem – potrafił spokojnie leżeć i obserwować napotkanego kota, bez napięcia i ekscytacji, nie boi się samochodów, ładnie chodzi na smyczy, nie ciągnie, chętnie węszy i eksploruje, jest grzeczny u weterynarza, nie dramatyzuje, dobrze znosi zabiegi, bywa lękliwy – np. bał się golarki – dlatego potrzebuje łagodnego podejścia i wsparcia opiekuna w momentach dla niego trudnych. Wiemy, że w poprzednim domu miał lęk separacyjny, więc dziś szczególnie potrzebuje stabilności, rutyny, poczucia bezpieczeństwa i mądrego prowadzenia. To pies z ogromnym potencjałem, ale też z poranionym sercem. Ze względu na potencjalny lęk separacyjny preferowany dom to taki, w którym Fąfel nie będzie spędzał długich godzin samotnie; dom, który rozumie potrzeby psiaka mocno przywiązującego się do opiekuna i rodziny otwartej na pracę nad tym, również pod okiem behawiorysty; rodziny aktywnej, która zapewni mu ciekawe spacery, pełne węszenia i eksploracji. W procesie adopcyjnym rekomendujemy wizytę przedadopcyjną, aby sprawdzić jak Fąfel odnajdzie się w domu oraz potencjalnej okolicy spacerowej. Jeśli Fąfel miałby trafić do domu, gdzie jest już inne zwierzę, wymagane będzie zapoznanie z rezydentem.
