Iaxon is a lively grandpa who arrived at our shelter after being seized by authorities for neglect. Like many dogs of his breed, he was trained with malice to do security work and react to everything that comes his way. Having been beaten and locked in a car trunk, it took him a long time to learn to trust humans. With time and gentleness, Iaxon turned out to be an extremely affectionate and human-friendly dog who responds well to those who care for him with kindness. The team at the shelter put in place a significant behavioral rehabilitation program, and Iaxon made huge progress! He is now capable of interacting with new humans and environments without aggression. He socializes with other dogs and even goes on group walks. Iaxon will need an experienced, gentle, and invested family to continue the educational work that has been started. Iaxon had a behavioral assessment on 08/09/2022 and was rated 2/4.

Iaxon est un papi énergique, arrivé au refuge suite à une saisie pour maltraitance. Comme beaucoup de chiens de sa race, il a été conditionné avec malveillance pour la sécurité et à réagir à tout ce qui l’entoure. Il a connu la peur et la contrainte avant d’apprendre, petit à petit, à refaire confiance à l’humain. Avec du temps et de la douceur, Iaxon s’est révélé être un chien extrêmement câlin et très proche des personnes qui prennent soin de lui. Aujourd’hui, il est capable de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et de découvrir de nouveaux environnements sans agressivité. Il côtoie également d’autres chiens et participe à des balades collectives. Iaxon aura besoin d’une famille expérimentée, douce et investie pour poursuivre ce chemin positif. Il a bénéficié d’une évaluation comportementale le 08/09/2022 et a obtenu la note de 2/4.
