Max came to us about 11 years ago as a stray cat – panicky, completely overwhelmed, and at the time completely unapproachable. People made him very afraid, and it was clear right away that Max needed time and, above all, peace. So he was allowed to move into our sanctuary, where he could live together with other cats and a fenced-in area. There, he could simply be himself, without expectations or pressure. Not long ago, Max unfortunately fell ill and had to undergo long-term treatment. But the brave tomcat has endured everything and has fought his way back into life step by step. Today, Max integrates wonderfully into the group here. He is very attuned to other cats and no longer has quite as much fear of people. In fact, he now allows himself to be touched in quiet moments – a huge step forward for Max. For him, we are looking for very special people: genuine cat experts with patience, understanding, and a calm home without stress and without expectations. Max needs people who simply accept him and give him all the time in the world. What would be important for Max are friendly, social cats who naturally include him in their little family and provide him with security. Max has never really used the freedom of the outdoors intensively, so a quiet home with a secure balcony would be sufficient for him. Much more important than space is a safe place where he can finally discover that a home can be something beautiful. Max is not one of the tomcats who immediately jump onto laps. But who meets him with patience gives a quiet, sensitive soul the chance for a real home – perhaps for the first time in his life. This cat needs outdoor access.

Max kam vor etwa 11 Jahren als Fundkater zu uns – panisch, völlig überfordert und damals überhaupt nicht anfassbar. Menschen machten ihm große Angst und es war schnell klar, dass Max erst einmal Zeit und vor allem Ruhe braucht. So durfte er auf unseren Gnadenhof ziehen, wo er gemeinsam mit anderen Katzen und einem Freigehege leben konnte. Dort konnte er einfach „sein“, ohne Erwartungen, ohne Druck. Vor einiger Zeit wurde Max dann leider krank und musste lange behandelt werden. Doch der tapfere Kater hat alles überstanden und sich Schritt für Schritt zurück ins Leben gekämpft. Heute integriert sich Max hier wunderbar in die Gruppe. Er orientiert sich sehr an anderen Katzen und hat auch vor uns Menschen nicht mehr ganz so viel Angst. Mittlerweile lässt er sich in ruhigen Momenten sogar teilweise anfassen – für Max ein riesiger Fortschritt. Für ihn suchen wir daher ganz besondere Menschen: echte Katzenprofis mit Geduld, Verständnis und einem ruhigen Zuhause ohne Stress und ohne Erwartungen an ihn. Max braucht Menschen, die ihn einfach ankommen lassen und ihm alle Zeit der Welt geben. Wichtig wären freundliche, soziale Katzen, die ihn selbstverständlich in ihre kleine Familie aufnehmen und ihm Sicherheit vermitteln. Freigang hat Max nie wirklich intensiv genutzt, deshalb würde für ihn ein ruhiges Zuhause mit gesichertem Balkon völlig ausreichen. Viel wichtiger als Platz ist für Max ein sicherer Ort, an dem er endlich erfahren darf, dass ein Zuhause etwas Schönes sein kann. Max ist keiner der Kater, die sofort auf den Schoß springen. Aber wer ihm mit Geduld begegnet, schenkt einem stillen, sensiblen Seelchen die Chance auf ein echtes Zuhause – vielleicht zum ersten Mal in seinem Leben. 🖤
