His story: Katz has lived with his family since puppyhood, but due to personal reasons, he is now seeking a new home. Katz is a purebred Australian Shepherd male dog, 3 years old, approximately 55-60 cm tall, and has a hereditary short tail. He knows all basic commands and great commands from the Dog Dance. He gets along well with other animals and has excellent communication skills. Katz is still very playful and needs plenty of movement and play, but he also needs quiet time to process new commands, as he is a herding dog at heart and mind. Learning new commands can be very tiring. Katz always watches where his people are and makes sure they (and their visitors) are doing well. He gets along particularly well with older people. And for cheese, the Katz will do almost anything! He lets himself be brushed, as long as he can chew on something in between. Grooming/haircut is more difficult. For that, he loves swimming in the lake immensely. He has also stood on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and found it great. Bringing things, however, doesn't work as well for him; he just doesn't like giving back what is his. Katz reacts very strongly to loudness from his trusted people. He cannot handle (small) children who make unexpected loud noises, as he wants to protect them. Katz has never experienced violence from his people! It cannot be ruled out, however, that he may have been confronted with a lot of stress and/or negative experiences at a very young age. Katz finds cats very disruptive because he cannot make sense of their movements. Ideally, there should be no other animals in the household at first so that he can arrive undisturbed and receive the attention he deserves. He has endless potential and requires a task befitting his breed. Katz is looking for a quiet home with very dog-experienced people who have experience with herding dogs. trusted people who have a lot of time for him, without children and other pets. He still needs a lot of training, ideally individual lessons. Katz could also be with older people who have fun and are fit enough to properly challenge him. Katz is a great dog if he has the right trusted people. He can be visited by arrangement. Katz is fully vaccinated (next vaccination in 2026), microchipped, dewormed (including giardia treatment), and registered with the "Australian Shepherd Club of America." He is, of course, free of ticks and fleas. He is not for breeding! All papers (including genetic tests, eye exams in puppyhood) are available. Katz eats BARF and grain-free dry food and is in perfect health. muzzle-training is incomplete. Katz can only be visited after a positive response. If interested, please contact us!

Seine Geschichte: Katz lebt seit dem Welpenalter bei seiner Familie, aus persönlichen Gründen sucht er nun ein neues Zuhause. Katz ist ein reinrassiger Australian Shepherd Rüde, 3 Jahre alt, ca. 55-60 cm groß und hat eine vererbte kurze Rute. Er kennt alle Grundkommandos und tolle Kommandos aus dem Dog Dance. Er versteht sich gut mit Artgenossen und hat eine tolle Kommunikation. Katz ist noch sehr verspielt und braucht neben der Bewegung und dem Spiel vor allem Ruhe, denn er ist ein Hütehund mit Leib und Seele und nach dem Lernen neuer Kommandos muss er das in Ruhe verarbeiten. Hüten ist auch einfach sehr anstrengend. Katz schaut immer, wo seine Menschen sind und ob es diesen (und ihrem Besuch) gut geht. Vor allem mit älteren Menschen versteht er sich ganz hervorragend. Und für Käse tut der Katz fast alles! Bürsten lässt er sich gut, solange er währenddessen auf etwas herumkauen darf. Scheren/Haareschneiden ist eher schwieriger. Dafür geht er enorm gern im See schwimmen. Auch auf dem Stand-Up-Paddleboard (SUP) stand er schon und fand das klasse. Apportieren hingegen klappt weniger gut, er mag „Seins“ einfach ungern wieder hergeben. Katz reagiert sehr stark negativ auf Lautwerden seiner Bezugspersonen. Er kann nicht mit (Klein-)Kindern umgehen, die unerwartet laute Geräusche machen, da er sie beschützen will. Katz hat von seinen Menschen nie Gewalt erfahren! Es kann aber leider nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass er schon in sehr jungem Lebenswochen mit viel Stress und/oder negative Erfahrungen konfrontiert war. Katzen empfindet der Katz als sehr störend, weil er deren Bewegungen nicht einordnen kann. Es sollten im Idealfall zunächst erst einmal keine anderen Tiere im Haushalt sein, damit er ungestört ankommen kann und die Aufmerksamkeit bekommt, die er vierdient. Er hat unendlich viel Potential und benötigt rassebedingt eine Aufgabe. Katz sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause, mit sehr hundeerfahrenen Menschen, die Erfahrung mit Hütehunden haben. Bezugspersonen, die ganz viel Zeit für ihn haben, ohne Kinder und andere Haustiere. Er benötigt noch einiges an Training, im Idealfall Einzelstunden. Katz könnte auch zu älteren Menschen, die Spaß haben und fit genug sind, ihn artgerecht auszulasten. Katz ist ein toller Hund, wenn er die richtigen Bezugspersonen hat. Gerne kann er nach Absprache besucht werden. Katz ist komplett geimpft (nächste Impfung 2026), gechipt, entwurmt (inkl. Behandlung gegen Giardien) und registriert beim „Australian Shepherd Club of America“. Er ist selbstverständlich Zecken- und Floh-frei. Er ist nicht für die Zucht freigeben! Alle Papiere (auch Gentests, Augenuntersuchungen im Welpenalter) sind vorhanden. Katz bekommt BARF und Trockenfutter ohne Getreide und ist voll und ganz gesund. Maulkorb-Training unvollständig. Katz wird nur nach positiver Vorkontrolle gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro vermittelt. Bei Interesse meldet euch bitte bei uns!
