30-09-26 Kirsty is a nervous lady who has come to us from a breeder and can be very unsure when she is approached, sometimes choosing to hide away at the back of her kennel. She will need a patient and understanding home that can give her the time and space she needs to slowly build her confidence and learn that the world can be a safe place. Kirsty will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home who is patient with her and will allow her to lean on them as she settles in. She will also need adopters who have experience with ex-breeders and understand the needs of a nervous girl like Kirsty. She can live with older, dog-savvy teens who are sensible and allow her time to settle in. Kirsty has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she learns all about home life, including house training. Walking on a lead may be too overwhelming for Kirsty, so her adopters will need to understand that she may not be ready for this straight away and that she will need to progress at her own pace. Kirsty is a very nervous lady, but she deserves the chance to find a loving and understanding home where she can slowly build her confidence and discover how wonderful life can be. Kirsty has come to us overweight and will need a healthy diet. She has a Grade 1 bilateral patella luxation that may improve with time and exercise but her adopters will need to be aware of this as any future treatment may not be covered by insurance. Kirsty has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
