Kolja is growing out of his tiny baby phase and is in the midst of a period where the world is getting bigger every day. There is still so much for him to discover and learn. Kolja and his seven surviving siblings did not have an easy start. Their mother Novia came into the care of animal rescuers during a spay/neuter campaign in Bologa. She had just given birth to ten puppies, but the helpers did not find out about this until several hours later. The few-day-old babies were brought in a box. Novia was so weak and dehydrated that she could not possibly feed all ten adequately. So, additional feeding was provided - and Fiene, another dog mother, took on part of the little family in addition to her own two puppies. This gave the babies the care they desperately needed. Two siblings lost the fight for life. Kolja is one of the eight who made it and now has the chance for a completely different future. Like every puppy, Kolja still needs to learn many things. Housebreaking, walking on a leash, car driving, household noises, visitors, staying calm and even being alone for short periods are not things that a young dog automatically masters. All of this should be built up step by step and with patience. Just as important are sufficient sleep and rest phases - a puppy does not need to be constantly occupied. And puberty will come at some point. Then, previously learned things can suddenly be questioned again, concentration can fluctuate and smells or other dogs can suddenly be more interesting than the person on the other end of the leash. This is a normal part of development. Loving consistency, clear structures and a bit of humor help through this time much better than pressure or punishment. Optically, Kolja could have a share of a livestock guardian dog mixed in. Livestock guardian dogs were bred to act independently, observe their surroundings attentively and make decisions without constant human guidance. Therefore, independence, vigilance and territorial behavior may become more pronounced with increasing age. This is not "disobedience", but can be part of their original task. Therefore, we are looking for people who will deal with livestock guardian dogs and their needs before adopting Kolja. A rather rural home with enough space and ideally a securely fenced garden would be particularly nice. Clear, fair rules, peace, patience and an upbringing without harshness are important. A positively working dog school, preferably with experience with livestock guardian dogs or their mixes, can accompany the development sensibly. Since Kolja is still growing, we cannot reliably predict his later size and final development. Therefore, whoever decides for him should not only see the cute puppy, but also the adult dog that he will become. Kolja is chipped, vaccinated, dewormed and flea-free. He is ready to travel at the end of October and will travel with his EU pet passport. He will be placed after a positive pre-control, with a protection contract and against a deposit. We would also be happy to find a suitable foster home for him. Many thanks to the naming sponsor Melanie H., who gave Kolja his name. Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!
