Manda came to the shelter kennel along with her mother. Although the mother is very lively and social with people, Manda has remained shy due to her one-sided early life. New situations and people are stressful for her and therefore she initially stays at a small distance from strangers. While the mother in the same kennel is happily moving around people, Manda also starts to become lively and after a while she already eats the treats offered by visitors and curiously sniffs fingers. A lively dog companion would certainly be a big help for Mandi also in the future home or foster home.

Manda on tullut tarhalle laboratoriosta yhdessä emonsa kanssa. Vaikka emo on kovin reipas ja ihmissosiaalinen, on Manda jäänyt yksipuolisen alkuelämänsä vuoksi ujoksi. Uudet tilanteet ja ihmiset ovat hänelle jännittäviä ja niinpä hän hakeutuu alkuun pienen välimatkan päähän vieraista. Samassa häkissä asuvan emon pyöriessä innokkaasti ihmisten lähellä myös Manda alkaa reipastua ja hetken päästä hän jo syö tarjottuja herkkuja myös vierailta ja haistelee uteliaasti sormia. Reipas koirakaveri olisikin varmasti suuri apu Mandalle myös tulevassa kodissa tai kotihoitopaikassa.
