Description Messi arrived at our animal shelter brought by his family, who could no longer take care of him. For him, it was very hard to end up in a cage; he didn’t understand what was happening, and he had a very tough adaptation period. We don’t know to what extent the changes affected him or if he was like this from the start, but Messi isn’t an easy dog to deal with, and if you don’t know him, you have to be cautious and follow certain steps. Despite this, he has a very good side, he’s affectionate, playful, and a big cuddler. Some of our volunteers have managed to win his heart, and Messi responds with love and affection: you just have to know the circumstances and learn to communicate with him, respect his space and his time, and guide him with trust. Outside the animal shelter, Messi behaves very well: he walks great and does very well in the car. At home, he’s a very good and clean dog, he doesn’t break anything, and he shows a great deal of calm. He’s been in the animal shelter for many years, and his only option is to find a family without children, with a lot of experience and patience that can transmit the calm and security he needs to open his big heart; someone who wants to give him the chance to know a home and not spend the rest of his life like that. This animal is not suitable for homes with children. This animal is for adult-only homes.

Descripción Messi llegó a nuestro albergue traído por su familia, ya no podían hacerse cargo de él. Para él fue muy duro acabar en una jaula; no entendía qué pasaba, y lo pasó muy mal durante el período de adaptación. No sabemos hasta qué punto le afectaron los cambios o si ya era así, pero Messi, de primeras, no es un perro fácil y, si no se le conoce, hay que llevar precaución y seguir ciertos pasos. A pesar de ello, tiene un lado muy bueno, cariñoso, juguetón y besucón. Algunos de nuestros voluntarios han sabido ganárselo y Messi responde con cariño y mucho amor: solo hay que conocer las circunstancias y aprender a comunicarse con él, respetar sus espacios y sus tiempos y guiarle a base de confianza. Fuera del albergue, Messi se porta muy bien: pasea genial y va muy bien en el coche. En casa, es un perro muy bueno y limpio, no rompe nada y se muestra muy tranquilo. Lleva ya muchos años en el albergue y su única opción es encontrar una familia sin niños, con mucha experiencia y paciencia que le transmita la tranquilidad y seguridad que él necesita para abrir su gran corazón; alguien que quiera darle la oportunidad de conocer un hogar y no pasar así el resto de su vida.
