She benefits from patience and gentle encouragement, especially in new situations, but once she feels comfortable, her lovely, affectionate personality really shines. Minnie is looking for someone willing to continue her lead-walking and confidence-building journey. She could potentially live with another suitable dog, subject to successful introductions and mixes. Minnie could also potentially live with sensible secondary school aged children, depending on the individual circumstances. A secure environment and owners who understand that she may need time before she fully show their personalities would be great for this young girl. Minnie is a sweet girl who is looking for a special family to help her blossom. She came into our care as a stray, so we don't know everything about her past. She is still learning about all the things that many dogs take for granted, including walking on a lead and can be worried by some doorways. Minnie came into our care with another little dog where she was the more confident of the pair. She comes round to people quickly and she really enjoys being close and forming that special bond. What she needs most is time, patience and a quiet lifestyle. She isn’t looking for a busy or hectic household, but for someone who will allow her to settle at her own pace, build her confidence and discover how wonderful life can be.
