For this reason, we feel Mr Chips would be happiest not greeting other dogs while out on walks. Instead, he will benefit from continuing his training to calmly disengage, walk past other dogs, and focus on enjoying his adventures with his people. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Mr Chips is friendly when meeting new people and will often approach with a waggy body and tail. However, he also has an independent side and isn’t constantly seeking attention. He loves spending time with his people and will happily ask for affection when he wants it, but he prefers fuss on his own terms and is happiest with people who respect when he’s had enough. He also enjoys learning and gets very excited when he’s rewarded for making good choices. If Mr Chips were to live with children in his new home, we would recommend that they are aged 13 or over. What type of environment would suit me? He will need his new home to have a secure, private garden where he can enjoy some off-lead zoomies and playtime.
