Obren is a social and amiable dog who thrives in the company of both humans and other dogs, particularly females. He loves being part of a pack and enjoys playtime with his canine friends. His enthusiastic and friendly nature makes him a delight to be around, but like many shepherd mixes, he is also intelligent and needs proper guidance to channel his energy positively. While Obren is affectionate and eager to please, his shepherd instincts may make him more alert, which can be a great asset in the right environment. He is not overly dominant but would benefit from a home where clear boundaries and consistent training are provided to help him become his best self. Obren’s journey so far hasn’t included the kind of experiences that many young dogs enjoy. He is not yet toilet trained or leash trained, and his excitement on walks often leads to pulling. These behaviors are not unusual for a dog in his situation and can be addressed with patience, positive reinforcement, and a commitment to his training. Shepherd breeds are known for their intelligence and quick learning ability, and Obren is no exception. He has the potential to thrive with an experienced family who understands the importance of mental stimulation and structured training. Engaging activities like obedience training, puzzle toys, or agility work could help him channel his energy and intelligence productively.
