Perla hasn't had an easy life. She arrived at the shelter filled with fear and wouldn't let anyone touch her or even approach her from the other dogs. With great patience and gentleness, the shelter staff did an incredible job working with her. Perla remains a timid little dog when she doesn't know you yet, but she no longer shows any signs of reactivity. And when she feels safe and confident, she becomes a sweet, cuddly, and tender little companion. She lives happily alongside many other dogs without any issues. She also gets along well with cats. Perla must have suffered greatly from hunger, as food makes her anxious, yet she shows absolutely no aggression related to it. She loves going for walks and walks nicely on a leash. Perla is not currently at the shelter; she's used to living in a house. She tends to bark a bit—likely due to her fears—but given all the progress she’s already made, she can learn to stop barking altogether, especially if there are fewer dogs around her. Perla has a small, benign cyst on her chest that has been monitored and deemed harmless by the veterinarian. After all the progress she’s made, Perla truly deserves to finally find a patient family who will love her and continue helping her grow with kindness and affection.

Perla n'a pas dû avoir une douce vie. Elle est arrivée au refuge avec beaucoup de crainte et ne se laissait pas toucher ni approcher par les autres chiens. Avec beaucoup de patience et de douceur, les responsables du refuge ont fait un énorme travail avec elle. Perla resteune petite chienne craintive quand elle ne vous connaît pas mais n'a plus la moindre réactivité. Et quand elle se sent en confiance, c'est une petite puce câline et tendre. Elle vit avec beaucoup d'autres chiens sans aucun problème. Elle est également ok chats. Perla a dû beaucoup souffrir de la faim car la nourriture la stresse, mais elle n'a aucune agressivité en lien avec elle. Elle aime se balader et marche bien en laisse. Perla n'est pas au refuge. Elle est habituée à vivre en maison. Elle a un peu tendance à aboyer, sûrement en lien avec ses peurs. Mais avec tous les progrès qu'elle a déjà fait, elle peut aussi apprendre à ne plus le faire, surtout si il y a un peu moins de chiens autour d'elle. Perla a un petit kyste bénin sur le thorax contrôlé et déclaré sans gravité par la vétérinaire. Après tous les progrès qu'elle a fait, Perla mérite de trouver enfin une famille patiente qui l'aime et la fasse encore progresser avec douceur et amour.
