It does affect his movement and energy levels, which is why he is naturally more relaxed and less physically intense than many other dogs his age. Despite this, Persi does not let his condition define him. He still enjoys walks, companionship, exploring his surroundings, and interacting with people. He walks well on a lead and generally has a very easygoing nature that makes him pleasant to handle. He is not demanding or chaotic and seems happiest in calmer environments where he can simply settle in and feel safe. There is something especially touching about dogs like Persi because they often develop an unusually gentle temperament. Having limitations from birth seems to have made him more thoughtful, patient, and emotionally soft. He enjoys affection and human closeness without being overwhelming about it. He feels like the type of dog who would quietly follow his person around the house, settle nearby, and simply appreciate being included in everyday life. Future adopters should understand that Persi’s physical condition will likely always require some awareness and sensible management. While he adapts remarkably well, he is not built for extremely strenuous exercise, endless running, or physically demanding activities. A home with realistic expectations and an understanding of his mobility needs would suit him best. What Persi truly deserves now is stability and comfort. He has already spent his life adapting to a body that works differently from other dogs, yet he remains affectionate, balanced, and emotionally open with humans. He does not ask for much from the world. Just kindness, patience, soft places to rest, and someone willing to love him exactly as he is. Dogs like Persi often leave the deepest impression because of how quietly they carry themselves through life. He may not be the loudest, fastest, or most attention seeking dog in the room, but there is a warmth and gentleness about him that stays with you long after you meet him.
