17-06-26 Precious has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very scared little girl at the moment and is understandably worried to find herself here. She has had very little handling or socialisation in her previous life, so everything is new and rather overwhelming for her. She will need plenty of love, patience and reassurance as she learns that the world can be a kind and gentle place. Precious will be looking for a calm and quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. We feel she would benefit from adopters who have experience with nervous ex-breeding dogs and who understand that building trust will take time. She can livewith older dog-savvy teens, aged 16+ that will allow her time to settle in at her own pace. She relies heavily on other dogs for comfort and confidence and takes great reassurance from their company, so she will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing and help show her the way. As Precious has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be kind and understanding whilst she learns all about home life. She will need help with house training and will also need to learn how to walk on a lead and harness. Initially, this should be practised around the home and garden, allowing her to build her confidence before venturing further afield. Her new family should be prepared to take things slowly and let Precious progress at a pace she is comfortable with. Precious is a lovely little girl who has missed out on so much in life so far, but with the support of her doggy friend and a patient, understanding family she will blossom. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
