Rocky is a blind kitten, approximately 4 months old (born on April 2, 2026), who has already endured an incredible amount in his short life. Together with his three brothers, sister, and loving mother cat, he grew up thriving. Everything was going well: the kittens drank well, and their mother cared for her little ones with great love. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when a virus broke out, and the entire litter became ill. The virus severely affected Rocky’s eyes, eventually requiring both eyes to be removed—a major procedure for such a tiny fellow. Following that, he went through a recovery period wearing an eye patch, which of course wasn’t very comfortable. But despite everything, Rocky is an absolute star! Despite his blindness, he manages brilliantly. He knows his way around the house, climbs effortlessly into the scratching posts, and plays joyfully with the other kittens. When you watch him play and explore, you’d almost forget that he can’t see at all. Rocky is an incredibly social, sweet, and affectionate kitten. He loves to curl up on your lap and clearly enjoys cuddles and gentle petting on his little head. For him, we’re looking for a calm, loving home where someone is often around to give him the attention he deserves. A social cat or female companion would also be wonderful—especially if you’re not always home.

Rocky is een blind kitten van ongeveer 4 maanden oud (geboortedatum 2-4-2026) die in zijn korte leventje al ontzettend veel heeft moeten doorstaan. Samen met zijn drie broertjes, zusje en lieve mamapoes groeide hij voorspoedig op. Alles verliep goed: de kittens dronken goed en hun moeder zorgde vol liefde voor haar kleintjes. Helaas sloeg het noodlot toe toen er een virus uitbrak en het hele nest ziek werd. Het virus tastte de oogjes van Rocky zo ernstig aan dat beide oogjes uiteindelijk verwijderd moesten worden. Een enorme ingreep voor zo’n klein ventje. Daarna volgde een periode van herstel met een kapje, wat natuurlijk niet prettig was. Maar wat is Rocky een kanjer! Ondanks zijn blindheid redt hij zich fantastisch. Hij kent de weg in huis, klimt moeiteloos in de krabpalen en speelt uitbundig met de andere kittens. Als je hem ziet spelen en ontdekken, zou je bijna vergeten dat hij niets kan zien. Rocky is een ontzettend sociaal, lief en aanhankelijk katje. Hij komt graag bij je op de bank liggen en geniet zichtbaar van knuffels en zachte aaitjes over zijn bolletje. Voor hem zoeken we dan ook een rustig en liefdevol thuis waar iemand veel aanwezig is en hem de aandacht kan geven die hij verdient. Een sociale kat of poes als maatje zou ook heel fijn zijn, zeker als je niet altijd thuis bent.
