If only you could have seen me when I first arrived at our shelter. The full brutality of a life on the streets was etched on my face: scars from old scratches, some open wounds, and even a bullet lodged in the inner ear of my right ear flap. And yet, I belonged to a human! Irony of fate: he even came to adopt me from the shelter. Almost 9 years later, here I am... as a wandering FIV-positive cat. He was so right to baptize me, to give me this sweet, sugary name and then throw me back onto the streets... With the help of a team of kind-hearted caregivers, I still hold onto hope for humanity. Maybe it's pathetic, but do I really have a choice? I don't want to die without having tasted the warmth of a gentle home and the caresses of someone dear. There is no greater happiness than being loved and loving in return.

Ah si vous m’aviez vu à mon arrivée au refuge. Toute la violence d’une vie dans la rue était imprégnée sur mon visage : des traces d’anciennes griffures, quelques plaies encore ouvertes et même un plomb logé à la face interne de mon pavillon droit. Et pourtant j’ai appartenu à un humain ! Ironie du sort : il était même venu m’adopter au refuge. Presque 9 ans après, me revoilà … en tant que chat errant porteur du Fiv. Il a eu tellement raison de me baptiser, de me faire porter ce joli nom sucré et gourmand pour me jeter à la rue... Remis sur pied par une équipe de soignants au grand cœur, je me permets de croire encore en l’humain. C’est peut-être pathétique mais ai-je vraiment le choix ? Je ne veux pas mourir sans avoir goûter à la chaleur d’un doux foyer et aux caresses d’un être cher. Il n’y a pas de bonheur plus grand que d’être aimé et aimer en retour. Donnez-moi une nouvelle chance
