Roxy is a lovely girl that has just turned 6 years of age, she is looking for a home either as an only dog or possibly with an older male because she is currently kennelled with an older male and is quite happy as long as she gets her own bed and space at night, but she isn’t relaxed with the younger more boisterous dogs kennelled around her, so would rather not be in a home with young dogs. Roxy is used to children and is living with children ages 8 years up to teenagers. She loves having lots of fuss and attention from them as well as from her owners, she can still jump up with excitement though. She loves her long walks in the local fields where she’s rarely on lead and happy to play with the other dogs, she has a good recall to her name and to the whistle, but if you let her range too far she can play deaf if after a scent. She isn’t a fan of dogs with no manners that run up and are in her face, she’s never started a fight, but will let them know that that’s not acceptable behaviour. She has always been clean in her kennels and when having her puppies she was very clean in the home. Roxy has been quiet when left and just sleeps in her crate when indoors or her kennel. She’s not been tested with either cats or livestock so her reactions are unknown at this stage, but it is believed that she might chase a cat if it ran. Roxy has no health issues that her owner is aware of and finished her last season one month ago so will be neutered around the end of August by us in her new home, her vaccination are up to date and she has recently been wormed and had a flea treatment. She loves her food and is fed a combination of raw and kibble which suits her, she cries with eager anticipation at food times. When in the house she has tried to pinch food off the work surfaces so this would need ongoing training, but did get down when told to. She is a good traveller and enjoys being with her humans in the car. Roxy is described as a lovely easy girl who loves her humans and enjoys spending her days snoozing in the sun after a lovely walk, if you feel you could offer this beautiful girl a wonderful home please contact us.
