A mouse is a sociable creature active at dusk and night. Adult males that fight must live alone. Life expectancy is about 2 years. Living space must be a suitable and spacious cage. They are lively, curious, like to wander, have hiding places, wheels and other accessories to thrive. They fear drafts and get cold easily. They appreciate temperatures between 19-20°C. They are omnivores (protein and lipid needs) with granivorous tendencies. Give them mouse seed mixes supplemented with fresh food (fruits and vegetables) in small quantities and a little hay.
