A tiny kitten wandered into a family’s home; they gave it food and sometimes even let it come inside to warm up—but that was all. Another person, who strives to help many animals in need, took care of neutering and providing proper nutrition. One day, the so-called owners were away, and Toriņš waited for them in vain by the front door. Then the little cat remembered that once he’d walked with his human to the nearby supermarket—and so he set off in that direction. His desperation only grew... The tomcat ran desperately toward shoppers, meowing loudly, tried to jump into cars, kept an eye on the store’s front doors... And once again, compassionate people stepped in, looking for a way to get the little feline safely to safety.

Kādā dienā, tā sauktie saimnieki bija prom un Toriņš viņus velti gaidīja pie mājas ārdurvīm. Tad kaķītis atcerējās, ka kādreiz gāja līdz savam cilvēkam uz tuvējo lielveikalu un devās turp. Izmisums tikai pieauga… Runčuks izmisīgi ņaudēdams skrēja klāt veikala apmeklētājiem, centās iekāpt mašīnās, uzmanīja veikala ārdurvis… Un atkal iejūtīgi cilvēki iesaistījās un meklēja iespēju kaķu puiku nogādāt drošībā.
