Bluey’s story nearly ended before it began. Found tied to a tree, weak, injured, and barely able to stand, his future looked bleak. Thankfully, a kind veterinary nurse saved him, and Team Poundie stepped in to give him the chance he so desperately deserved. Now safe in our care, Bluey has already shown what a resilient, loving boy he is. He settled into kennels quickly and has formed wonderful bonds with his carers. Bluey is a young, intelligent mixed bull breed with a big heart. He has shown friendly curiosity towards other dogs he’s met in kennels, though as we don’t know his full history, we can’t confirm if he could live with another dog. He’s a striking-looking boy and his character and behaviour are golden! The kennels report him to be the nicest dog they have – a lot of that is down to the love, care and training he has received from them during his stay. He thrives on treat-based training and absolutely loves his food (luckily, his playful energy keeps him in great shape!).When meeting new people, Bluey greets them with enthusiasm – sometimes a little too much – but he quickly settles and shows his affectionate side. He walks well on the lead, though being a strong lad, he’ll need someone confident handling him.Playful, interactive, and eager to learn, Bluey is finally beginning to experience the joy of life as any young dog should. Bluey is looking for a forever home where he can continue his journey and become the best version of himself. He’ll need:A home with enough space to comfortably accommodate his size.No children under 12, as he can be big and bouncy at times.An owner experienced with larger or bull breeds, who combines strength with kindness.A commitment to provide not just love, but ongoing training to help Bluey thrive.A pet-free home to start with, although with careful introductions and the right match, it may be possible for him to live with a well-socialised dog.
