Vanhalla Lennyllä on tosi mukava hengitys. Hän on noin 9-vuotias Lurcher, joka viettää suuren osan ajastaan kennelissä Rescue Remedies -hankkeessa Gatwickin läheisyydessä Surrey ja West Sussexin rajalla. Hänellä on säännöllisiä viikonloppuisia hoitokokeiluja, mutta hän toivoo todella oikeaa kotia! Lenny on pehmeä ja rakastava poika, joka voi elää vanhempien lasten kanssa. Hän haluaa olla yksin kotona, mutta hän tekee koirasystävät ulkona. Hän on niin helppo kävelyyn – Rescue Remedies antaa hänelle perehdyttää uudet vapaaehtoiset kävelyoppilaat. Vaikka Lenny on hieno mies, hän voi olla kiinnostunut ruoasta ja hyökkäysmielinen. Kokemus ruokapientä koiraa olisi hyvä, koska et saa jättää mitään syötävää saavutettavissa ja joskus pitää olla tiukka vaikka ne suuret, pyytävät silmät! Lennylle ruokapalat ovat kuitenkin hyvä asia, koska hän on hyvin älykäs ja sitoutunut noms-ohjelmaan! Yksi vapaaehtoinen kiersi sanoi: "En ole vielä kertaakaan kävellyt tai tapannut kaunista Lennya, kunnes eilen! Minkä ihmeen mukava hengitys! Saatin Lennyä rintamalla ja menimme kävelyyn. Hän rakastaa hyvää haisevaa ja haluaa ottaa asiat omalla vauhdilla (ei ole kovin nopea lol) sitten menimme aikana aikana hänelle ja sylityksiin! Lenny rakastaa myös monta ruokapalaa!". Toinen sanoi: "Olin onnekas saadakseni kävellä Lennya ensimmäisen kerran tänään, hän on niin suosittu, että kesti minulle lähes 8 kuukautta saada hänet kävelykalenteriini! Ja sen jälkeen, kun olin käynyt aikaa hänen kanssaan, tiedän nyt täsmälleen miksi. Hän on ihan helppo saada kourissa ja kävelyyn. Hän on niin kaunis, kun hän nyrisee jalkaan kun hän kävelee rinnallasi – todella ilo. Menimme myös aikana aikana, ja hän oli varsin innokas saamaan käsikynän. En antanut hänelle ennen kun meidän oli palattava takaisin hänen kourikkoon, mutta meillä oli hauskaa kun hän yritti." Please help Lenny by sharing this page! Sweet old Lenny is a Lurcher of about 9 years who currently spends most of his time in kennels with Rescue Remedies near Gatwick, on the Surrey/West Sussex border. He does have regular weekend foster breaks but would dearly love a proper home of his own! Lenny is a gentle and affectionate boy who could live with older children. He wants to be the only pet at home but he does make dog friends out and about. He's such an easy dog to walk Rescue Remedies have him show new volunteer dog walkers the ropes. Gentleman though he is, he can be obsessive and opportunistic about food. Experience of a foody dog would be helpful because you can't leave anything edible within reach and sometimes have to be resolute despite those big, pleading eyes! Lenny's fondness for treats does at least mean he's easy to train because he's very clever and highly motivated by the noms! One volunteer walker said, "I’d never walked or met the gorgeous Lenny until yesterday! My goodness what a sweet soul! I got Lenny all harnessed up and off we went on a walk. He loves a good sniff and likes to take things at his own pace (which isn’t very fast lol) we then went to the paddock for a run around and cuddles! Lenny also loves a treat or 5!". Another said, "I was lucky enough to walk Lenny for the first time today, he is so popular it’s taken me nearly 8 months to nab him in the walkers diary! And having spent some time with him I can now see exactly why. He’s so easy to get out of his kennel and walk. He is so gorgeous when he nuzzles in to your leg as he’s walking gently beside you – a real show of affection. "We went in the paddock for a short time too, and he was quite keen on getting hold of my treat bag. I didn’t give in to him until we were on our way back to his kennel, but we had fun while he tried."
