Dolce vecchio Lenny è un Lurcher di circa 9 anni che trascorre la maggior parte del tempo in gabbie con Rescue Remedies vicino a Gatwick, sulla frontiera tra Surrey e West Sussex. Ha regolari pause di adozione nel fine settimana ma desidera molto una vera casa tutta per sé! Lenny è un ragazzo gentile e affettuoso che può vivere con bambini più grandi. Vuole essere l'unico animale in casa ma fa amicizia con altri cani quando esce. È un cane facile da portare a spasso, Rescue Remedies lo fanno guidare nuovi volontari nella camminata. Gentilissimo, però può essere ossessivo e opportunistico con il cibo. Esperienza con un cane goloso sarebbe utile perché non si può lasciare nulla di commestibile a portata di mano e a volte bisogna essere risoluti nonostante quegli occhi supplicanti! La passione di Lenny per i bocconi significa che è facile da addestrare perché è molto intelligente e motivato dal cibo! Un volontario ha detto: "Non avevo mai camminato né conosciuto Lenny bello fino a ieri! Cielo, che dolce anima! Ho messo a Lenny la cingia e siamo partiti. Adora annusare e vuole andare a suo ritmo (che non è molto veloce lol) poi siamo andati nel recinto per correre e coccole! Lenny ama anche un paio di bocconi!". Un altro ha detto: "Ho avuto la fortuna di camminare con Lenny per la prima volta oggi, è così popolare che mi è voluta quasi 8 mesi per prenotarlo nel calendario dei volontari! E dopo aver trascorso un po' di tempo con lui capisco perfettamente il motivo. È molto facile farlo uscire dalla gabbia e camminare. È bellissimo quando si strofina contro la tua gamba mentre cammina piano accanto a te – un vero segno di affetto." "Siamo andati nel recinto per un po', e era molto interessato al mio zaino con le leccornie. Non gli ho dato finché non eravamo di ritorno verso la sua gabbia, ma abbiamo trascorso un momento divertente mentre provava." Please help Lenny by sharing this page! Sweet old Lenny is a Lurcher of about 9 years who currently spends most of his time in kennels with Rescue Remedies near Gatwick, on the Surrey/West Sussex border. He does have regular weekend foster breaks but would dearly love a proper home of his own! Lenny is a gentle and affectionate boy who could live with older children. He wants to be the only pet at home but he does make dog friends out and about. He's such an easy dog to walk Rescue Remedies have him show new volunteer dog walkers the ropes. Gentleman though he is, he can be obsessive and opportunistic about food. Experience of a foody dog would be helpful because you can't leave anything edible within reach and sometimes have to be resolute despite those big, pleading eyes! Lenny's fondness for treats does at least mean he's easy to train because he's very clever and highly motivated by the noms! One volunteer walker said, "I’d never walked or met the gorgeous Lenny until yesterday! My goodness what a sweet soul! I got Lenny all harnessed up and off we went on a walk. He loves a good sniff and likes to take things at his own pace (which isn’t very fast lol) we then went to the paddock for a run around and cuddles! Lenny also loves a treat or 5!". Another said, "I was lucky enough to walk Lenny for the first time today, he is so popular it’s taken me nearly 8 months to nab him in the walkers diary! And having spent some time with him I can now see exactly why. He’s so easy to get out of his kennel and walk. He is so gorgeous when he nuzzles in to your leg as he’s walking gently beside you – a real show of affection. "We went in the paddock for a short time too, and he was quite keen on getting hold of my treat bag. I didn’t give in to him until we were on our way back to his kennel, but we had fun while he tried."
