He faced the same fate a second time when a family member developed an allergy. And as if that weren't misfortune enough, he recently lost his home again—this time along with another housemate cat. Minister doesn't deserve any of this. He's so cuddly, good-natured, and simply our cuddly bear. Even with strangers, he immediately switches into cuddle mode—perhaps a bit more reserved at first, but given some time, there's no stopping him. You could say he's a typical red tomcat. Currently, Minister is living in very cramped and unfavorable conditions. But as if losing his home three times in two years wasn't bad enough—or maybe precisely because of these frequent changes in living environment—Minister has started occasionally urinating outside the litter box. Medically, Minister has been thoroughly examined several times, and no organic cause has been found. When the litter boxes are very clean and he has access to 2–3 litter boxes, he's mostly litter-trained—but every now and then, he still slips up and urinates outside the box. We can only speculate that he's unhappy with his current living situation, since the previous placement was an emergency situation and Minister is currently living in a small space with another cat. He's not aggressive or hostile toward his housemate at all, but perhaps it's just too much for Minister right now. And that's exactly why you might come into play. We know that a spraying cat (about 1–2 times a week outside the litter box) is always a challenge and deters many potential adopters—because, of course, it requires even more understanding and diligent cleaning of the litter boxes. At the same time, we know how wonderful a character Minister has, and we really hope he finds peace and quiet. So what are we looking for? We urgently need a foster home where Minister can first settle down in peace—preferably as a single cat. If the living space is larger than 60 square meters, having another cat would also be fine. Alternatively, adoption as a single cat—ideally with outdoor access (so he has the option to urinate outside and can continue to have optional cat contacts)—would be ideal. Das gleiche Schicksal musste er ein zweites Mal erleben, da ein Familienmitglied eine Allergie entwickelte. Und wäre das nicht Unglück genug, hat er vor kurzem mit einer weiteren Mitbewohnerkatze wieder sein Zuhause verloren. Minister hat all dies nicht verdient. Er ist so verkuschelt, gutmütig und eben unser Kuschelbär. Auch bei Fremden startet er direkt den Schmusemodus – vielleicht etwas zurückhaltender am Anfang aber mit etwas Zeit, gibt es kein Halten mehr. Man könnte sagen, er ist ein typischer roter Kater. Aktuell lebt Minister in sehr engen ungünstigen Gegebenheiten. Aber als wäre es nicht schlimm genug drei mal in zwei Jahren als Katze sein Zuhause zu verlieren – oder vielleicht auch genau wegen der häufigen Lebensraumwechsel, hat Minister angefangen ab und an außerhalb des Katzenklos zu pinkeln. Medizinisch wurde Minister mehrfach abgecheckt und keine organische Ursache gefunden. Wenn die Toiletten sehr sauber sind und er auch 2-3 Toiletten zur Verfügung hat, ist er größtenteils stubenrein, aber ab und an pinkelt er eben doch noch daneben. Wir können nur mutmaßen; dass er mit seinem aktuellen Lebensraum unzufrieden ist, da die Abgabe eine Notsituation war und Minister aktuell auf engem Raum mit einer anderen Katze lebt. Er ist gegenüber seiner Mitbewohnerin überhaupt nicht aggressiv oder ablehnend, aber vielleicht ist das alles für Minister zu viel. Und deswegen kommst du jetzt vielleicht ins Spiel. Wir wissen, dass eine Pinkelkatze (ungefähr 1-2x/Woche neben das Klo) immer eine Herausforderung ist und viele abschreckt, denn na klar, es erfordert einfach noch mehr Verständnis und Sauberhalten von den Katzentoiletten. Gleichzeitig wissen wir, was Minister für einen tollen Charakter hat und wir wünschen uns sehr für ihn, dass er seine Ruhe findet. Also was suchen wir? Wir suchen dringend eine Pflegestelle, in der Minister erst mal in Ruhe ankommen kann, vorzugsweise als Einzelkatze. Bei größerem Wohnraum > 60qm wäre auch eine vorhandene Katze möglich. Alternativ wäre auch eine Adoption als Einzelkatze – am besten mit Freigang (damit er auch die Option hat, draußen zu pinkeln und um weiterhin optional Katzenkontakte zu haben) direkt möglich – das wäre natürlich unser Traum, damit Minister nicht mehr umziehen muss.
