In the spring, several abandoned Maine Coon cats came to our shelter. Both the Darmstädter Echo and Hessischer Rundfunk reported on the incident. Almost all of these cats have since found new homes, but the tiger-striped My Fair Lady is still waiting for her big break. Unfortunately, Lady is very anxious and hides most of the time. She actually has a very gentle character, but is a sensitive soul and apparently fears all humans. She is not aggressive - if you are lucky enough to find her, you can pet her for a long time, but we have not been able to hear her purr so far. She seems to get along with other cats, probably because she is used to a multi-cat household. However, she has not been looking for contact with others so far. We are looking for a quiet place for Lady, possibly as a second cat (in which case the existing cat should not be dominant and too lively), with people who have a lot of empathy and patience.

Im Frühjahr kamen etliche ausgesetzte Maine Coon-Katzen zu uns ins Tierheim. Sowohl das Darmstädter Echo als auch der Hessische Rundfunk berichteten darüber. Fast alle diese Katzen haben inzwischen ein neues Zuhause gefunden, die getigerte My fair Lady aber wartet noch immer auf das große Glück. Leider ist die Lady sehr ängstlich und verkriecht sich die meiste Zeit. Sie hat eigentlich einen sehr sanften Charakter, ist aber ein Sensibelchen und fürchtet sich anscheinend vor allen Menschen. Aggressiv ist sie nicht - wenn man das Glück hat, sie aufzuspüren, so kann man sie lange streicheln, aber ein Schnurren konnten wir bis jetzt nicht hören. Mit anderen Katzen scheint sie keine Probleme zu haben, vermutlich ist sie ja einen Mehrkatzenhaushalt gewöhnt. Allerdings sucht sie bei uns bisher aber auch nicht unbedingt den Kontakt zu anderen. Für die Lady suchen wir einen ruhigen Platz, evtl. als Zweitkatze (dann sollte die vorhandene Katze allerdings nicht dominant und nicht zu lebhaft sein), bei Leuten, die viel Einfühlungsvermögen und Geduld besitzen.
