Polly could potentially live with another Greyhound, subject to a successful dog mix at the centre. However, she has shown some toy guarding around her kennel mate, so this would need careful consideration in a new home. She could live with primary school-aged children and may be able to manage short periods alone once she has settled in, with time built up gradually. Polly would love a home where she can continue to build her confidence, learn to relax and enjoy all the comforts of home. With her lovely nature and enjoyment of human company, she’ll make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a four-legged friend to share their sofa! Polly is a lovely 2-year-old Greyhound who enjoys the company of people and is settling in well here at the kennels. She can settle nicely in her kennel, although she can get quite excited when it’s time to come out! Polly is still learning to relax and enjoy her walks, but she walks calmly on the lead and is making good progress. She is doing well with all her handling and is happy to have her harness put on. Although she doesn’t always seek out attention herself, she is happy to accept fuss from her handlers and enjoys saying hello to new people she meets out and about.
