ALPHONSE, a white and ginger cat, a big teddy bear available for adoption. Posted on May 8, 202529 November 2025 by VERO My name is ALPHONSE, I am a magnificent male cat born on 01/09/2022, a kitten's character in a big tomcat's body ;o) Tested Negative / Typhus Coryza vaccine in progress / Neutered / Identified The story of ALPHONSE: Alphonse is a good big teddy bear who appeared at a feeding point, two years ago. Very wary for several months, he was finally trapped to be taken care of, like all his friends in the area. After occupying a neighboring garden - where a cat house had been installed - Alphonse began to lower his guard a bit by rubbing his head against the hand that was offered and his body against the legs of humans, one of his specialties: a real gluepot. Probably weaned too early to be offered as a stuffed animal (?), his education seems not to have been completed by his mother: he could, at first, tend to open his mouth when being petted too much on the head. A gesture that a mother-cat would have immediately corrected if he had stayed with his mother until the end of weaning. We tried to correct this and observed that Alphonse no longer has this reflex for several months. He sometimes seems like a kitten in a big tomcat's body. He loves to play in nature, and surprisingly, climb quickly onto the roof. Very agile and fast in moving around. Personality: a gluepot with his human, in search of affection. He doesn't like being touched on the lower back and the base of the tail. He allows himself to be brushed, lies down to enjoy the moment. He also knows how to show when he's had enough. We can clean his eyes, ears; administer medication via a syringe or directly into his mouth. With his companions, he shares space and has integrated well. However, he fights with another male in the house: he has his heads. As a proper cat, he defends his territory and chases intruders. Suitable for a family with respectful children and already teenagers. No young children. Alphonse loves to roll in the grass, spend time outdoors. And winter in the polars. If he would appreciate an outdoor environment, a spacious apartment allowing him to expend energy could also suit him (See our advice against the dangers of window falls). Could be with another cat! And presence because he loves following his human friends. Publié le 8 mai 202529 novembre 2025 par VERO Je m'appelle ALPHONSE, je suis un magnifique chat mâle né le 01/09/2022, un caractère de chaton dans un corps de gros matou ;o) Testé Négatif / Vaccin Typhus Coryza en cours / Stérilisé / Identifié L’histoire d’ALPHONSE : Alphonse est un bon gros nounours qui est apparu sur un point de nourrissage, il y a 2 ans. Très méfiant pendant plusieurs mois, il a finalement été trappé pour être mis en règle, comme tous ses copains du secteur. Après avoir investi un jardin voisin – où une maison pour chat avait été installée – Alphonse a commencé à baisser un peu la garde en frottant sa tête contre la main qui lui était tendue et son corps contre les jambes des humains, une de ses spécialités : pot de colle. Sans doute sevré trop tôt pour être offert comme peluche (?), son éducation semble ne pas avoir été terminée par sa maman : il a pu, au début, avoir tendance à ouvrir la bouche quand on lui caressait trop la tête. Geste qu’une maman-chat aurait aussitôt corrigé s’il était resté avec sa maman jusqu’au terme du sevrage. Nous avons tenté de corriger cela et avons observé que Alphonse n’a plus ce réflexe depuis plusieurs mois. Il semble parfois comme un chaton dans un corps de gros matou. Il aime gambader dans la nature, et contre toute attente, grimper rapidement sur le toit. Très agile et rapide pour se déplacer. Caractère : pot de colle avec son humain, en recherche de caresses. Il n’aime pas trop qu’on le touche sur le bas du dos et la base de la queue. Il se laisse brosser, se couche pour apprécier ce moment. il sait aussi montrer quand il en a assez. On peut lui nettoyer les yeux, les oreilles ; lui administrer des médicaments à la seringue ou dans la bouche directement. Avec ses congénères, il partage l’espace et s’est bien intégré. Mais il fait la guerre à un autre mâle de la maison : il a donc ses têtes. En bon chat qui se respecte, il défend son territoire et chasse les intrus. Conviendrait pour une famille avec enfants respectueux et déjà ados. Pas d’enfants en bas âge. Alphonse aime se rouler dans l’herbe, passer du temps en extérieur. Et l’hiver au chaud dans les polaires. S’il apprécierait un extérieur, un appartement spacieux lui permettant de se dépenser pourrait aussi lui convenir (Voir nos conseils contre les dangers de la défenestration). Peut être avec un autre chat !? Et de la présence car il adore suivre ses amis humains. Note de l’association : Vous l’aurez compris, ALPHONSE est à la fois pot de colle et joueur, coopératif pour les soins et sachant montrer ce qu’il souhaite, tolérant ses congénères et faisant respecter son territoire… Un vrai chat quoi !
